About Us: Inspired by The Negro Motorist Green Book (1936–1964), the Green Book Institute is a Philadelphia-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving the history of cultural travel and promoting these experiences within the travel community.

Founded in 2023, the Institute is the charitable arm of the Green Book Experience, collaborating with students, educators, universities, and nonprofit organizations to research and highlight culturally rich experiences. Through education, authentic storytelling, and community engagement, we strive to deepen understanding and appreciation of this history while fostering meaningful connections across communities.
